Reviews

Good but WAY too expensive.

"Lyre’s Bourbon Alternative, mixed with Blanton’s maple syrup and cocktail juice, with a few splashes of orange bitters, makes a refreshing alternative. Nothing like the real stuff but it will grow on you. I have bought 4 cases since beginning my sobriety journey. But $30+ a bottle even after volume discounts? It’s a good buy at $20 a bottle but $30+ is taking advantage of those of us who viewed a $30 bottle of bottom shelf whiskey nasty. Lyre’s business model clearly targets the softening bourbon market and increasing focus on abstinence. Basic supply vs. demand. Lyre’s isn’t ready to bend on price so I’ve found better alternatives using samatra coffee, vanilla extract, a drop of liquid smoke and my Blanton’s syrup. A whole lot cheaper and arguably better."

No Thanks

"I purchased the bourbon and vermouth substitutes and made Manhattan's. I tried the recipe on the Lyre website and I tried the recipe I previously used. Both tasted very medicinal and I poured the both bottles out. Neither drink taste anything close to any Manhattan I've ever had."

— John W. (1/5)

One of the best I've

"One of the best I've tried out of many. Chilled on the rocks. I'll be honest with you, I also frequently mix this with a citrus THC infusion product. Makes one sensible, delicious relaxer. Cheers 🍻."

— Paul D. (4/5)

Delicious

"My step father has cancer and diabetes , so loved this non alcoholic and low sugar content alternative 🥃"

— Louise D. (5/5)

Awesome

"This drink I have found to be absolutely flavourful enjoyable with a slight tint of pepper at the back of the throat while drinking it absolutely recommend it. . ! Look forward to purchasing some more in the near future !👍🥃"

— Simon D. (5/5)

"Absolute disgusting taste. No resemblance to either malt whiskey or dark rum. Straight down the sink"

— Mr (1/5)

"Great product with just enough kick! Good on the rocks or a mocktail old fashioned. Quick arrival as well."

— Martin (5/5)

Great for manhattans

"This is really wonderful for a Manhattan. I so prefer it to Ritual's alcohol free bourbon."

— Elizabeth A. (5/5)

"Has a slight hint of smoke, oak, and vanilla. Mouth feel of straight water. When poured over ice all flavors disappear and it tastes like drinking water out of a glass that has something in it previously. Not impressed, will not purchase again."

— David (1/5)

A little something different

"I wasn’t sure how much like bourbon it was going to be. It has that kick to it that you can’t quite put your finger on, and mixes well to make an old fashioned or manhattan. I was pleasantly surprised."

— Alicia G. (5/5)
