Accor Cocktail Competition Paris: Non-Alcoholic Mixology Winner Announced
On April 27th, the stunning Reine Margot Hotel & Spa in Paris provided the perfect setting for the Accor Cocktail Competition - an evening dedicated to creativity, talent, and the art of mixology. Bringing together some of the finest bartenders from across the Accor Group’s MGallery and Sofitel properties in France, the event felt both elegant and genuinely inspiring. Lyre’s was proud to be the official partner, supporting a competition that celebrates innovation behind the bar.
After a strict pre-selection, six finalists were chosen to take part in the grand finale. They came from a range of properties and regions, including Luxembourg, Sainte-Barbe, Reine Margot Paris, Arc de Triomphe Paris, and Normandy. Each finalist brought their own personality and approach, making the competition diverse, dynamic, and full of surprises.
Throughout the evening, guests and judges experienced a series of cocktails that went far beyond great taste. Each creation told a story - blending technique, creativity, and a strong sense of identity. It was clear that mixology today is not just about making drinks, but about creating memorable experiences.
The highlight of the night was the announcement of the winner: Cyril Le Friec from the Grand Hôtel Cabourg in Normandy. His “New Fashioned” cocktail, built around American Malt, stood out for its balance, originality, and modern twist on a classic style. It was a confident and refined creation that truly captured the spirit of the competition.
More than just a contest, the evening was a celebration of talent and passion. Set in such a beautiful venue and supported by Lyre’s, it was a moment that brought people together around a shared love for hospitality, creativity, and exceptional non alcoholic drinks.
